Clean, clear Lake Charlevoix. Gorgeous nature trails- be sure to have high, waterproof boots if you do the 'deer flats' trail. 'Mirror lake' is perfect for young fishers. Softball diamond, basketball court, and horseshoes. 'Oak' and 'Terrace' sites are larger and more private- the lakefront sites provide beautiful views of the lake. 'Spruce' is wide open- good for group camping. Happened to be a slow week on our visit (early summer), however, other campers told me the CG is normally packed during the summer- not hard to see why. Boyne City is close enough for convenience.

Beautiful country. There are wooded sites in 'Lakeshore' loop. Some of the lakefront sites are wide enough to pull the trailer curbside facing the lake. It is family friendly with lots of trails. There is a great pond for the youngins to go fishing. The outdoor theater is a treat. A good sandy beach areas on Lake Michigan. There is a nice little general store/coffee bar just a mile up the road. The youngsters loved the nature center- very informative. The 'Pines' loop is more wide open. Too bad most Michigan State Park's don't have full hooks, otherwise it would be a '10'.

Very quiet- we stayed on a Wednesday over spring break (ranger said the weekends are very crowded). Very, very scenic. Large sites, lots of room, plenty for the kids to do

I've found campers are a diverse group.. but to give this campground a rating any higher than a '2' is either people 'spoofing' or bogus reviewers with a stake in the business. This place is a dump- incredibly close quarters (they shoe-horn in RV's everywhere), ratty and unkept, rude employees, WI-FI so slow almost unusable.

owners very attentive. well-kept park. very clean. family friendly. no problem negotiating roads with 31' s/o trailer. gravel pad. at check-in had valet lead us to spot. two hours from tahquamenon falls. twenty-five minutes from mackinac. five minutes from burt lake state park. kids loved the hay ride in the evenings. excellent water pressure. 30amp plug was clean, with new breaker. near perfect level site. this is an outstanding RV park. highly recommend.

Thirty years ago, I remember this being a well-kept, great campground on the beach. Times have changed. This is probably the rattiest campground I’ve ever stayed in. My site was half-way between the beach and pool- not very far from the dunes, but almost every site-line to the ocean is completely blocked with all the ‘park models’. Way too many… for me, park models in a campground wholly spoil the experience. Our site bordered the north edge- it appeared to be a condo or apartment complex on the opposite side of a foliage covered fence- extremely noisy tenets, with lots of all-hours partying. Quiet time was observed, for the most part, within Bryn Mawr. We only stayed five nights- but a garbage truck for this neighboring complex was maneuvering and grabbing dumpsters at least a half-dozen times during that time. There was a fair amount of rain, but not excessive by Florida (June/July) standards. Still, the retention pond at the end of our road completely overflowed, the corner was about 6-8 inches deep with foul smelling water. There were many deep pools of foamy, polluted, flood water through-out the campground. Get the impression from the staff they couldn’t care less if you stayed there. When we arrived, the concrete pad at our site was covered with road dirt and sand, and the crab grass was totally overgrown and coming up through all the cracks and edging. Obviously, ‘ocean front’ is the only reason they’re still leasing out slots- but with car access onto the beach, we’ll be staying somewhere else and simply drive down. It’s almost more convenient that way. Pool was warm and salty. Ratty and un-kept playground. A real disappointment.

Waterfront means behind the main freeway in/out of town. Crossing this road, to get to the beach, is dicey... particularly if you've got kids... lots of locals use the area as a spot to blare their music, and get loaded- all day long. Campground, itself, is my impression of 'combat-camping'. No trees, wide open, fairly cramped sites. constant drone of road noise. showers were not nearly as clean as other MSP's we've been to. I'm a real fan of Michigan State Parks, but this place was a bust!

Nasty showers- peeling paint, moldy plastic curtains, filthy. Restrooms were the same. Pool is basically unusable because almost the entire Orando population uses it (this is a City park). That is, Packed. Frissbee golf course is neat (as long as you have plenty of bug-spray). Our site was near the dumping station- foul odor occasionally wafted our way. When we arrived, I spent ten minutes picking up garbage that looked like it have been sitting on our site for several days, at least.

Friendly staff. Very visible DNR rangers. Very scenic campground. Lakeshore spots primitive only. Almost walking distance from downtown St. Ignace, and ferry boats to Mackinaw Island. The reason I rated low: too close to ‘Big Mac’ road noise all day, all night. (If you’re deeper into the campground, those sites are a bit quieter). Water level in the lakes is very low, and the shoreline suffers from it. Had site 83- huge, but had a pretty good slope to it.

Well maintained. quiet. Beautiful views of lake Huron. Stayed in north campground. Had 2 new restroom/shower houses. They were better maintained than my pricey gym locker rooms. Very clean. somebody building their 'starter-castle' home right next to north edge of north CG- a lot of construction/dozer noise- recommend staying toward south edge of CG. DNR staff extremely nice, very visible. Highly recommend.

Clean. well groomed sites. A little more wide open than I like... Looked like they had recently gone through and cleared out all the underbrush, and did some heavy trimming.Real friendly staff (goes without saying- it's Disney) Pool was a real downer.. expected better- maybe a water slide? Lots of fun over the Halloween holiday. Very kid friendly.Very good laundry facilities.

Very narrow sites. Site situated across road from lake shore. Great view. Had a family emergency, needed to leave 3 nights early- wouldn't give me any kind of refund. Would not stay here again. Made plans for Straits State Park over the bridge
